Thank you for showing us this, scanlators. This was very fun.

I'll be optimistic. I can't believe this is less than 1/4 of the story! The pace made me think it was a single long volume or two very light novels, and I did want more from the setting. The concept was very strong, top tier for a small-cast SF story, and much more depth incoming? I may not get to it for a while but I'll make note because I'm psyched to see where it goes.

Well, it's definitely less than ¼ of the story. The first volume of this has much more detail to it and it cut out, like, significant chunks of the first volume. The conversation in this chapter is, like, more than twice as long in the LN (and is the end of the first LN). They also cut out a lot about them searching through the archives and a whole sequence of them meeting Diode's mom among other things, all of which are in the first volume.

Having this axed at volume 3 and then trash isekais continue for 10 volumes or more, leave me so sad, and bitter.
I suppose a quote from an italian TV serie, Boris, would be quite apt to describe the japanese public too:
Text of video, with literal and meanigful translations (take to consider italian have a more liberal use of profanities then english)
"Perchè a noi la qualità c'ha rotto er cazzo" -> "Becouse quality broke our dick" -> "becouse we are fed up with quality"
"Perchè un' altra televisione diversa è impossibile" -> "becouse it's impossible to do another kind of television"
"Viva la merda" -> "long live the shit" -> "we prefers low quality products"

This scene was a satire about the italian television industry where the public was watching more low quality cliched medias (becouse mostly the high quality productions were mostly non existant) and that the the industry bad practices were favoring these kinds of product too, to the point of often self-sabotaging attempts to increase narrative quality and the overall product quality. This created a negative feedback loop where the industry and the public were reinforcing each other commitments to bad quality products.

That's sad, but thank you for such a wonderful manga. This is one of my first ever sci-fi genre yuri. And I loved it, I kept waiting for more updates, because of the interesting kind of plot it is.

Does anyone have different website recommendations for reading the novel version?

Feels more like a guillotine than an axe.....

I'm really glad to find out there's a lot more in the novel though

For the last two years, this have been one of my absolute favourite manga and it sucks to see it end, but even with the axe, it's still been a wonderful journey, and I'm glad to know that I can keep reading this story in novel form.

Thank you so much for the TL!
