As for the one-shot manga itself, it’s quite interesting, even though only 1 chapter has been translated into english = Uchi no meido ga kurasu no sukina ko ni nite iru. i’m curious what’s gonna happen when MC finds out that Maria and Himeka are actually the same person.

Esta obra é excelente; a waifu é ao mesmo tempo a empregada doméstica e o interesse amoroso na escola. Perfeita, merece uma adaptação para anime. Thank you for chapter 👍🏻😁

Guys should be allowed to hit on girls, its kinda annoying that guys wanting to hit on girls is so demonized in manga or anime. Its one thing its hitting on a person in a relationship, but if a person is single, then people can shoot their shot, either failed or score.
She was very clearly telling him no, but he wwasn't stopping. Shooting your shot doesn't mean harassing them after the first no.

I can already tell that this series is going to have all the bullshit misunderstandings. Whether or not I like this series will heavily depend on how they deal with the misunderstandings.

Context is important. Talking to a girl at a bar, for example, is one thing, but stopping a random student on the street is harassment. Bars are places where you socialize, so someone socializing there isn't out of the ordinary; its expected. The street meanwhile, is for walking between places. People don't want to be stopped on the street if they are trying to go somewhere, so trying to socialize there is out of the ordinary.

Fair but like all flirting being seen as a sin is stupid. Also people have meet their spouses on places like public transport, elevators, etc not really socializing places. Love is not determined by what places is acceptable to socialize, people can fall in love in the street. A typical rom-com cliche is two strangers bumping each other in the street with the girl with toast in her mouth.

The only important context to know is that sex crimes are only acceptable when committed by the love interest in a shoujo manga. Since that's a very simple flowchart (are we in a shoujo manga? -> no -> crime) I think it's a great one we can all use.

No one's saying that all flirting is a sin, though I think that it's important to keep in mind that in Japan, more so than anywhere else, public displays of affection are strongly frowned upon, even between couples that are already together, which likely contributes to the level of what's considered unacceptable when you don't know the person.

Also relevant is the fact that in both of the scenarios you've described, elevators and public transport are both places where you're standing still for a time. If you talk to someone there, there're not usually doing anything else in the same way someone on the street is going somewhere. So socializing is more acceptable in these cases. Especially considering the fact that some people find silence awkward, it may even be expected.

And in the cliche "bumping into each other on the street" scenario, no one's flirting. It's almost always a brief "sorry" followed by an actual meeting later. Plus, the characters are being forced to interact; there's no intentional decision there to criticize.

But even still, context. Because, yes, people can fall in love on the street, but that doesn't mean that flirting with random girls on the street isn't harassment.
