A child probably won't be sad if they lost in a game, they would more or less want to play with someone who can actually play it.

At least that's how I felt as a kid. Only one relative of mine could play video games but was so good compared to me that I always lost, but I still enjoyed playing with him the most cause nobody else could even play.
