No, she's saying that the constant controversy between humans, is making humans strong. Because its always a survival of the fittest test.

You're over thinking it. She literally says humans put up a strong front when banding together in the face of a common enemy. She also says humans are weak and nothing special individually.

It's really simple...I don't know why everyone is so hung up that 'peace' is what she's after, just because she said the word. She even talks abt the class being in disarray when there is no common enemy...aka they make enemies of each other.

Or maybe not thinking enough? Some people here are saying she underestimates humans, and that they will find an enemy no matter what. Or quote the troubles happening in the world, preventing true world peace, that threaten to tear us apart. Uh....yea? That's the point? Did you forget she said she wants to exterminate humans while moronically arguing she is after 'peace'?

I don’t really get how she thinks this plan would work. I guess you could maybe say that if there was peace people would try and fight among themselves, but in the process of that fighting wouldn’t more sides be created? Therefore you end up back at where you started. Multiple sides seeing the others as an enemy, just like humanity right now with Russia/China vs US/Europe etc.

Also the whole thing about how helping someone doesn’t really help them is dumb. She’s basing it off just a few examples where it went poorly. To say there there aren’t any instance where you genuinely help someone, is just dumb. To say you can never actually help the weak is shortsighted. I think this author has a theme of that for some reason. That no matter what you can’t actually help the weak.

I feel like a lot of Japanese media use these weak arguments to attack altruism and goodwill as virtue signalling and patriarchal. It always sounds like the author is extremely guilty about something, but doing mental gymnastics to justify never helping anyone.

A philosophy that is a bit too primitivist for my taste. It simplifies things to the scale of a problematic school environment. I see where they are coming from, that may even be true in the scale of a nation. But when viewed through a global scale, there are way more factors to upkeeping society that doesnt involve trying to overcome an enemy.
Unless you abstract it to the point where societal ails are considered enemies...I guess.

Although I do like the idea that Humanity's downfall can be caused by getting rid of any enemies they may have.

I agree that it is a bit of a simplistic take, but then again this is coming from the literal alien who believed that the 10 plagues of Egypt was not only a historical text, but misunderstood it to the degree that she thought it was a common occurrence at first. She clearly has a fundamental misunderstanding of not just humanity, but also Earth.

When you consider how technologically advanced her civilisation is, I would be surprised if they could in some ways change their reality around them metaphorically speaking. They can undo death and remove memories, I wouldn't be surprised if they can change the weather and terraform the land with ease. My interpretation is that they are so advanced that they no longer need to accept the natural order of the universe. And after generations of not needing to accept it they fundamentally do understand things that don't have the same capabilities or world view.

There in lies the reason behind the simple take. They so powerful and capable that they no longer need to work with nuance or work on complicated matters, like us humans do.

it would be REALLY funny if they carefully crafted their plan just to get screwed the moment they let slip that they're aliens, because humanity is racist AF.
Their plan always fail. This is the comedy, fail to succeed.

In competence, yes he is competent. In his soul, even a dweeb like Teru can outreason him.

not what everyone else is focusing on but I think it should be said that there's a fundamental problem with the example mc-kun here has set for helping people. Not in his competence but in the underlying idea and how he approaches problems. It's charity vs aid. Remember the thing with Mr. Beast funding eye surgeries? Sure, there's some who would complain about anything, such is the nature of twitter, (it's not a topic centered forum but a collection of everyone and anyone being thrown any random topic that gets traction. With so many people from everywhere, some are going to fight and that's by design for engagement.) but there was a meaningful criticism given in the way it was presented by communities focused on aid. Similar to the news articles that talked about a child raising money to pay their poor friends student lunch debt or the teachers who pooled their paid leave for one of them who was going through cancer treatment and would treat these as 'feel good' stories. What they wanted was for these stories to focus on asking why these problems exist (such as why the government acts like it's better to put them on disability rather than fund the relatively cheap one-time operation necessary for them to work and live normal lives.) and drive people to solve the underlying problem in mass rather than just be happy that someone helped some of them.

Anyway, mc here tends to focus on superficial help for the sake of quieting symptoms rather than confront a problem openly and earnestly. Keeping the peace isn't the same as helping. Fixing a problem tends to be disruptive, look at how civil rights movements went historically. On the other hand, you can have people lash out against a scape goat and never even APPROACH the cause of their problems. Many people complaining about culture war stuff usually have other worries in their social or financial life and so they collect grievances and lash out at someone to distract from their underlying problems. All the kids in the classroom were probably pretty fucked in the head for various reason but it's easier to beat someone than to deal with their stressors.

tl;dr: this is a lot of words to say mc is terribad at helping people, you know his whole schtick, and any plan he came up with or is based on his behavior is just as likely to go sideways as anything the alien came up with. Let's see if the two of them can fuck this up so much that it works.

She really underestimates the human ability to make enemies out of literally nothing.
Lol this was my thought too. I was like, that plan doesn't make any sense unless the entire world becomes a utopia, and even then people will find something to bitch about en masse.
That’s literally what she’s saying: eliminate all exterior threats, make human existence so easy and comfortable that they can’t help but start turning on each other

Pity the MC. He lost his best friend, his trusted classmate became his personal sex toy, the class turned against him. This is what a bad influence can do to your life.

Moral lesson is that good things do not come from aliens / communist mindset, ..., or just bang that remodeled THOT.

So exterminating humanity by helping them? Well not the worst way to go out. Instead of us nuking each other or global warming or something this seems like a better death. Also she explicitly said she likes him too. I’d take the deal.
