This story has become lame, I hope this whole thing is bait and he breaks up with the used goods
Nah it's only "lame" in your eyes because you aren't getting what you want.

I doubt Moka and Ueno will breakup, this timeskip has reinforced that, the bully girls will just move on one by one.

Despite Tsubomi losing (I guess) and Chisaki checking out (I still kinda like her at the end of the day), this story is still great. It's not afraid to not cater to me and get me upset. It just does what it deems best for itself, and I respect that. In that way, it becomes very enthralling to read.

This manga is a hidden gem. I love when graphic content actually has an interesting story attached to it.

Thank you for the translation.

That's absolutely a part of it.

Prior to the shift in focus, the manga occupied a wholly unique niche. Now it's another "college life" manga like Dasei 100% or Genshiken but lacking the character interaction and detail (respectively) that made those two what they were.

I would say it has more in common with Genshiken Nidaime; means well, but doesn't quite hit the mark of quality as what came before.

Chisaki's response is mature and all, but I get the feeling she's evading a bit of blame by letting Ueno do most of the heavy mental lifting of explaining to Manaka their situation.

But I understand it though, they went at it without really knowing each other in a comfortable way that maybe Chisaki isn't the best person to explain it herself. Still a slightly coward move for me... gah the complexity is gripping!
Why are you tiptoeing around blaming this character lol. She is a megarapist sociopath. She is not just slightly a coward, she is a predator that took advantage of someone who could not fight back (blackmail, etc) for sexual pleasure. I struggle to see her response as mature considering that she just played off being a rapist as if it was no big deal and not her problem lmao.

This is a coming of age story. There was always a level of expectation of Ueno breaking his programming and to have a healthier sex life one day. Like I mentioned in previous chapter discussions, it is a balancing act for Ueno to get character development while still having erotic content, especially femdom content, present within the story.

In the beginning, it was easier to have erotic/femdom content since it didn't take much for the bully trio to shatter Ueno's resistance. Now it's harder since Ueno has grown, his relationship with the bullies changed, and most importantly, Ueno's and the bullies' relationship with Moka makes it difficult to continue their sexual encounters without hurting her.

Now, personally, I don't want femdom content to dry up anytime soon and hopefully the author finds a way to incorporate those elements back into the story. If Ueno continues to have wet dreams or hallucinations of having sex with the bullies, I think it will be a fine alternative for that type of content as it will show his continue struggle to achieve normalcy and to have a normal relationship with Moka. I always imagine at the end of the series, Ueno will unlock the ability to cum without being bullied but he accepts that being a masochist is his preference and that's O.K.

I do remember in a livestream the mangaka and Yanmaga did to promote the release of volume 5, the editor ensured the audience that the erotic content is not going away. Take that as you will.
Femdom content doesnt have to involve rape and then also "humanization" of the female rapists. It feels like it so often boils down to this in any long-form femdom manga. The premise is just always so extreme and then you're eventually just made to treat these women like theyre normal women, deserving of sympathy, while critiquing the male character like he is some lead in a romance. That's my gripe with half fetish half serious series like these. It always feels so very off to talk about these characters, "who should win", how they're "flawed" etc as if they can ever be on the same footing as the victim that they raped into having a sexual dysfunction.

It becomes especially absurd when everyone got up in arms about the douchebag guy who forcefully kissed that girl. I'll give this series credit for properly using that as a parallel to what these girls did to the MC. But even then, the rapist Chisaki, who is 100x worse than the guy who forcefully kissed a girl, gets to beat them all up? It just ends up feeling like a terrible double standard that you have to pretend to not see.

I've not found a single femdom manga that is just a healthy relationship. It always involves abuse or lack of consent or toxic behavior of some kind. I'm all for content such as the femdom in this manga if it's just a porn manga that you know is a contained scene; a brief fantasy. Once you drag realism and long form relationship storytelling into it, it falls apart if the characters arent consenting and good enough people not to be literal rapists.

But that aside, I can appreciate what the author is going for here.
