@Oeconomist That's funny, I usually hear "preventative" so I wasn't even aware the alternative was interchangeable.
But preventive fits on one line and makes the bubble look way better, so nice catch!

So basically she just wanted him to molest her.

She's getting less and less subtle. Not sure if her benefit or harm.

Paul Brians on the idea that "preventive" is the adjective, "preventative" the noun:
I must say I like the sound of this distinction, but in fact the two are interchangeable as both nouns and adjectives, though many prefer "preventive" as being shorter and simpler. "Preventative" used as an adjective dates back to the 17th century, as does "preventive" as a noun.
It's rather crass to chime in with prescriptive comments on things that aren't nonstandard. They are both widely accepted as legitimate and wholly interchangeable, although it is true that some style guides still favor preventive.

The equals sign is sometimes used in place of the interpunct as a word separator, it doesn't really mean anything. It just, uh, looks cool to the Japanese I guess.

No, what's crass is your attempt to undermine a competent attempt to help a translator who in turn really cares about the quality of the translation.

One of the aspects of discussion on English is that one can always find a defender of any practice. And, of course, across all languages, long-standing errors are likely to become accepted practice. None-the-less, “preventative” is ill-formed (as if there were a verb “preventate”), and style guides continue to recommend instead using “preventive”.
