Wow, yeah, we all called it -- a major theme is the emotional separation walls that people feel due to social gender filters. Noel calling the protag "Kei-chan" again in the same chapter Eito started calling them "Uesugi" again. Notice Eito asked despite knowing full well what his friend was doing: that was resentment towards Noel if I ever saw it. I have to wonder what in the world a seemingly sweet girl like Noel could have ever done to earn it. My guess is that he's gay (notice he averts his eyes in chapter 1 when "BL" is brought up) was lowkey attracted to Uesugi and resented the latter's crush on her. Recent events have taken his best friend even further away from him.

And oh boy... if "Kei-chan" wasn't thrilled about being a girl before, they're REALLY about to not like it. We're in for a ride -- this might not be the first time the author details a girl's first period with an almost TMI-level level of description. (I say "almost" because said manga was lowkey meant to be sex-ed in the first place)

Yeah. And the controlling incessant monitoring was pretty ick too. He's young but he's gotta learn that kinda behavior wouldn't be okay even if a guy.

That and something like FIVE TO TEN offline DMs in the course of one day??? My guy, get a hobby.

Also his user profile pic just being the number "88" :shamihuh: I hope that has some kind of specific story significance. Because, uh...

EDIT: Before anyone else replies, someone else explained the meaning in this thread. Just I advicse meet someone with an avatar like that being creepy, ghost them. Ghost them ASAP and don't look back.
But I kinda knew already in the back of my mind that "88" isn't as much of a yikes meme outside the English internet. In this case, it's just "Eito Eito".

I should probably clarify that his name is Yaemura Eito (八重村 瑛人). The 'Ya' (八) is the character for 8, and his first name 'Eito' sounds like the word 'Eight', hence 88. There is no connection to WW2 Germany, or at least there shouldn't be.

Lol you posted that as I was rushing to. Amazing job catching up like this.

Anyway, 8 is a "lucky" number in Japan and several other East Asian countries, much like 7 is in America and such. So the top student having eight in his name twice isn't different than the short kid having "s/esu" in his name twice.

Thanks for the clarification. That could have been a LOT darker, if coming from a boy with no sense of space.

Well damn, shrine god doesn't have any mercy. If formula holds she didn't even give MC a month to adjust before "aunty" came to visit.

Has that been a month in the new body already? And to be away from home with no female guidance, poor girl.
