She's clearly very attached to him, as a child. Therefore she shouldn't go somewhere where she might have to watch him die (she might die as well btw). It's about protecting her both emotionally and physically. Lets say that he died and she survived, would she even be able to find her way back home? Would she be able to find food and shelter?

Like, I get that dragons might be different, and may need challenges to grow up well. I just don't think this particular thing where severe emotional trauma is involved should be part of it

Isn't she an asset already? If Jade was so powerful the medusa wouldn't matter, he wouldn't act like this, all worried. But since he's worried, he could use the help. Apparently the victims get depetrified once the medusa is dead, so Dorami would be okay as well, even if get medusa got her. But being a dragon, she most certainly could distract a mere medusa enough to give Jade an excellent chance to surprise the thing. The medusa apparently uses the "statues" to protect itself, imagining human attackers wouldn't want to risk the safety of all the petrified humans, but if a dragon appeared, would a medusa still think the same? Why would a dragon give a damn about the fates of the human victims? Dorami obviously would, but the medusa wouldn't know that.

But then again, I assume Jade won't allow the use of any such tactics or even Dorami to fight in her dragon form. I hope I'm wrong, though.
