Because there’s concerns she’ll lose, maybe? My reasoning is, she’s unexperienced with combat, and the hero might not wanna send a child to fight what is essentially an Avenger’s level threat because it merked the thing that has defeated top level adventurers for 12 years

Then she has absolutely no business being there in the first place. Why is she there? Unless it's Jade's hubris in believing he can handle everything, while keeping Dorami perfectly safe at the same time, or he really is so über strong that his last line of "How shall I beat you?" wasn't pondering how he could pull it off after losing his sword, but rather it was Jade merely trying to decide which overpowered skill out of the 50 he possesses he would use this time.
