Too bad Oguri lost, but better for the story and development. Still, Roppei is a good trainer to be able to acknowledge and guide Oguri’s strengths. Hopefully we’ll see how he guides Oguri to overcome these tactics she lost to.

Baby Super Creek is so cute. It's hard to see any of the girls lose, but I'm glad Creek and her trainer won this time.
edit: Looking at the volume covers, Super Creek's gotta be on the cover for Volume 11, yeah? She hasn't gotten a cover yet and this win will be in vol 11.

Just an FYI to people, the story is based on actual real life races with the real life horses the girls are based off of.
So Super Creek won because IRL the horse Super Creek won this race.

That was a great win! Glad to see Creek's more sensitive side in full display, it's so undermined by the fandom flanderizing her as the obsessed mommy.
Also, I knew the writer did proper research into sports psychology the moment they introduced the Zone (there was a diagram behind Tamamo iirc), but for them to even bring up habituation to control the Zone is so cool. I remember making a case study out of that in archery, and many pro archers did suggest finding or creating a habit that forces you into 'the groove' when competing.

Oguri has three more wins lined up, Mile Championship, Yasuda Kinen, and Arima Kinen. All G1, spread across 2 years.
But between these three races, she's going to get absolutely HAMMERED.

When Creek instinctively approached Trainer Nase Fumino for their first time meeting, it was exactly how Take Yutaka met Super Creek for the first time. Great reference.

WAIT. I just realize something, remember the theory about trainer Nasu inspired by Take Yutaka, this chapter is another proof of that, I've read somewhere that irl Super creek bit Yutaka's sleeves and refuse to let go, he ended up being Creek's jockey after that
