Anime is airing right now and it is absolutely fantastic. Mangaka must be happy it's doing the source material justice.

Well it IS being animated by CygamesPicture; the animation department of the company itself (who created this manga to begin with) so it isn't much surprise that they are doing it justice, especially given their past works.

Man, oguri got nerfed so hard in the later chapters. Not happy about that. She basically got humiliated in ch 190. I thought this was suppose to be an underdog kind of setting.

Well, the entire series is based on the real Oguri Cap racing career, the result of each race is history.
Oguri was already past his peak and in his declining phase at that time; a race horse career is really short.
But at the very end was able to went out like a true legend.

I want to thank mochimixer / mochimix for translating a humongous batch of the more recent chapters to English....even over 50 chapters. I can imagine slightly how tough that must have been since the translation alone per chapter is a task....and then theres the cleaning and editing to do.

It may just seem like just "words from a stranger online" but I really do thank you, sincerely. I've checked for updates for a new translation almost daily for several months. If its not to much to ask further, please continue translating future chapters. If not, I understand. I hope you find yourself achieving your own personal goals as well. Thank you.

The results of the races in the pretty derby series/anime are based on real history. Its not creative writing. These racers are based on real horses, even showing personality traits of those horses.

I read everything again when the series ended and after becoming familiar with the game and the uma universe, i get pretty invested in the cingray and actually cried a bit.

The struggle to be the one at the peak.
The pressure that come after being at the peak.
The fall down after your body cant keep being number one.
But still claim the peak again in the final race.

Truly a peak experience.
Hopefully all of this will be animated
