Would've worked better as a oneshot. The primary gag gets old after the first couple chapters and none of the characters are interesting or likable enough to carry the story.

At first, it was pretty funny. But then the main joke started to get repetitive, which made the series pretty hard to read. Doesn't help when the romance could've been resolved easily if the friends actually put in the effort to help or were actually smart enough. That being said, I can see it having a tiny hint of potential towards the end when Oga and Omeko finally got together. Certain things near the end could've been explored more in depth to actually make the series good, specifically addressing why Umeko looks cute when near a shrine or sprinkled with salt, but then looks scary outside of that; there could've been a deeper lore in there. But I can see a good number of people dropping the series before reaching that point, so it's probably a better decision that the series finally ended.

6/10; A decently fine series that could've been better.
