The title page looks especially nice.

Both of them have such artful faces that are well-suited for being in front of the camera.

I liked watching Umiko watch Sora's film and make notes. It's interesting to get a director's perspective of another director's choices.

Umiko's expression is the best.

Sora's so emotionally and socially smart and capable, and he's incredibly blunt and brutal.

I really like Director Miyamoto's comments on Umiko feeling like she's running out of time to make films. It is a unique perspective that only she can understand and capture for her audience.

The bottom 3-panel shot on Page 121 was interesting. Instead of just showing the three of them sitting at the bar together in one panel, they're separated into 3 separate ones. But they're united from a frontal perspective into 1 panel on Page 126.

I'm glad Sora brought Umiko to this bar and that they got to meet Director Miyamoto. And I'm glad that Umiko realized that it's not about comparing yourself and your results to others.

Thats the thing about art, you know? No matter if he stars in other movies... the only person who can shoot and direct Kai-kun the way she can is her. You, you each every single person specifically, will make art differently then any other single person. It's an inescapable truth of art; even if to the creators eye it might not feel that way. And it really is different then being 'better'.

Though I say all that and still sit around worrying about it. That's art too tho lmao. 'Ah but if IM the person who makes this fancomic, it'll be flawed' but also... who else would do it? Nobody else is gonna have my ideas.
