Thanks for translating. I enjoyed the manga enough but unfortunately, i'd have to agree with the other reviews. I know this is a 1980s piece but that ending was not it :(

I feel this last chapter threw away everything in the story for no reason. Pacing, the characters, everything. I'm not even talking about the "bad ending" per se, but it feels like the author destroyed Sano's character just to get the "bad ending" she wanted.

I'm kind of disappointed.

So I get the core point of the story is Mori's coming into her sense of self despite the attitudes of those around her. And there is certainly a tragic irony in Sano, the person who helped her to do this, being unable to really do the same...

But oof, that was rough.

This truly happens in real life... So it is not just figment of imagination. It is what people really do and how they act. It happened to me, and not once.... to be threated in the end this way .

For all of you out there who , if you are lesbians or bisexual women, and had good experience with women....excellent. But I have experienced this exactly in my own life by a few partners actually, although it is 21st century. Women who love other women, want to experience something with other women, are still insecure in this day and age .... and after they...try out....then comes all that societal pressure you know....or whatever.... and this is how they treat their pissible respective partners....with truly ugly words and offensive words.... One moment you have someone interested in you and you fool yourself by trusting them with your most intimate self....and the next thing you know you are told you are disgusting, you v been called names....so....yeah....this is not just author inventing something for the sake of art. This is life. Art just imitates it.

Honestly, the fact Mori stayed true to herself and didn't lie that she everything she did with Sano was "out of curiosity". The panel of her crying, to me, it felt like a flood of her entire life coming out. Of people continuously rejecting her and yet she still won't bend down to what people want her to be. Loved this manga.

Thank you for the translations!

I'm glad Mori was able to come to terms with herself even if Sano personally couldn't do it. The scene where Sano asks if it was out of curiosity really struck me, kind of like her way of possibly "excusing" their actions without having to dive deep into their feelings. Loved that Mori didn't lie and kept true to herself. This was a great and interesting read even if it didn't end the way we all wanted it to but it's still realistic.

Damn, talk about a frustrating ending. Actually, it also felt so abrupt.
Tbh, u like what u like. Sano had no obligation to like her back and had never really showed any type of emotion in that direction, they were good friends that met constantly due to their solitude. But when Sano proposed to "try it out sleeping together" after Mori had confessed her feelings it could had been more, but the fact it wasnt... that completely destroyed Sano character for me. What she did then was awful, mostly how she reacted afterwards, the harsh things she said, almost as if blaming Mori, then not even apologizing and instead trying to force Mori to disregard her feelings just so she could feel better with her actions. Sure, she gave a hint prior, but considering Mori feelings and the present alcohol in her veins, it was still awfully unfair.
Overall, the only positive is that Mori might had overcome her trauma with her mom. This ending made the story just really ordinary.
