I know it says discord is the best place to contact mods but I'm unsure of how it works because it won't let me send a message to moderators so I'll try here ?

So I tried uploading for the first time since its been years since anyone uploaded the last chapter to creepy cat. I found the last one elsewhere, uploaded it. Thought it'd be cool but I guess not cause banned >-< not even a warning man. I won't upload stuff again but can I at least post a link where people CAN actually read the last chapter ? It was a pretty great manga.

Usually when a chapter doesn't have credits, it means it has either been stolen from a scanlator and had the credit pages removed (common practice for aggregators), or it's an official translation. There's a rule specifically that states "If you do not know who scanlated the chapter, do not upload it." (rule 3.3.2) You obviously didn't read it.

There's currently no way for us to notify the users about anything regarding uploads, and even assuming everyone had a forum account (not the case most the time, and even if that was the case, most people don't actively look at forums), our only option is to apply a ban. Why a ban? because in most cases this means that the user didn't bother to read the multiple warnings on the website about uploading uncredited chapters and/or official translations, which again seems to be the case here.

MangaDex is already operating on a grayline and allowing users to link to other sites that could offer official translations for free is an liability issue.

Since you already admitted your mistake your ban will be lifted. Another rule violation of this kind will lead to a permanent ban for your account since you already have been warned about this.

Oh and how long does unban take, is it 24 hours ? I'm still banned at the moment so I was wondering about it

You should already be unbanned. Try relogging if it doesn't work.

...no... I don't compare ignoring scanlation groups to speed limits. I've gotta say, you guys are being mean for no reason to someone that just tried uploading for the first time. Like I would never try to keep someone banned, or speak that way to someone that already admitted there mistake and not to do it again. I wasn't even trying to start anything and people just gang up on you the second you make a mistake.

You were breaking the number one most important rule on this website, ignoring obnoxiously visible warnings about it on the upload page, and defending yourself by saying you don't care enough about it to pay attention. I don't know how you can think "for no reason" applies here.

Okay...i already admitted my mistake though? Appealed the ban through proper channels...think I already accepted that I did something wrong and to not do so in the future so again, why are you singling me out for no reason? What more do you want me to say?

Also there are a lot of bullet points man. I tried my best to go through them all but still just came up short. I think there's no reason to be so disrespectful to someone that realizes their error and makes a change to how they do things in the future. Never said I didn't care about the rules though. Just didn't read it thoroughly enough. Think anyone can make that mistake and you can only just learn from it and move on.
