In one of the previous chapters it's revealed that Yamada was one of those ninjas that appeared at the writer's bedroom. She said she wanted to kill all ninjas. If Yamada's the real MC then aight.

It may not be her, but someone from UN with the same murderous aura that probably everyone in the organization has. During the writer's flashback all the shinobi who tell him their stories are from the NIN, while the woman was the only Under Ninja member who visited him.

Somehow the dead scene of most characters in I am a Hero seems so mild compare to this. No one is safe here.
I like how it gives contrast to more lighthearted teen-ninja story vibes in the previous chapters, that when it comes to ninjas battling each other — the reality is extreme brutal.

Looking at the volume covers, it looks like the MC will be changed. In the cover chapter of Volume 9 you see Kuro basically tap out with someone else entering while tapping kuro. And in Volume 10 you only see this new guy on the cover.

I suspect the Kumogakures are clones, and maybe memory transfer can occur between them, but still... that was brutal. And even with my copium theory... fuck, that was absolutely shocking. Maybe our main guy is just gone forever. Definitely possible given Hanazawa Sensei's propensity for truly hardcore writing.

I was not expecting much after I Am a Hero, I mean that became my top 5 title. But indeed, mangaka-san made this escalate quickly and now I am addicted to the story, it became exciting really fast.

Man I don't understand this at all. Did Kumo recognise that Yamada was the enemy right back when he first saw her in school? And then decided to invite her to the Yankee highschool because he wanted to fight her somewhere outside of the highschool? Why did he even challenge her to fight? Wasn't his mission just to find the secret base under the school or something like that? When did he receive an order that would cause him to want to fight Yamada?

But seriously, I think Kuro recognized her as a threat and since he also know shit was about to go down bad at the school he tried to get all those who he cared about to safety at the delinquent school. Maybe he thought he and Miracle could take on Yamada, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.
