Um. Pleeeeeeease tell me the emperor is not her love interest? And that if she does marry him (as the title implies) that she kills him right after? Because he's basically killed all six of his fiances, which is hella psychotic.

Thanks for the update!

I'm really confused with hate towards the ML in these comments.

It's already implied throughout ch.4 that there's more to the noble daughter's murder than him just killing her because he 'felt like it'. Not sure if we all read the same chapter, but he was depicted to be remorseful of having to kill her AND he offered her a silent prayer before FL showed up. there is definitely a greater reason over the killing of his fiancees. Wow, a ML showing remorse over random bloodshed. That's new. Why is there so much praise for characters like Claude or Lucas (WMMAP) who could literally care less about anyone but the FL and condemn this one? It's pretty much written in bold letters that there is more to this than what's being shown and the point and mystery of this series is finding out wtf is going on. don't forget that we are also viewing this from the POV of the FL who does not have full understanding of the conflict.

Let's just all rejoice for a manhwa whose plot isn't revealed in the first 5 chapters. If heavy plots are too much for you, might I recommend "I'll Do That Marriage"? the ML is also a murderous psycho (his attendants literally crouch in fear when he frowns) but he's head over heels for the FL and for some reason, people seem to like that.

Le gasp, almost as if they were killed, or died, or got into a terrible accident.

A lot of ppl seem to think there's some deep meaning behind the Prince killing his fiancee (like maybe they're being replaced or something). But the dude also tried to kill an innocent witness. He could've just made a run for it but he went after the FL and she only survived because she's decent with a sword and had the bears on her side.

No way you can justify that. I prefer Tissone who I'm hoping realizes she's crossdressing, or just genuinely admires her.

I'm getting tired of mls that make others cower in fright, can't we just get a cute, soft one?
but i do agree that it's not right to like those psychotic fathers/mls who thoughtlessly kill for no reason in other stories while ironically hating this guy (when he clearly has a reason and purpose to it)

@minar I think...maybe you're the one who needs to read the chapter again? He wasn't remorseful about killing her, but that her death was "caused" by him. Um...excuse me? It wasn't "because of you", you were the one directly killed her.

So you see, his words caused a huge misunderstanding and that's why I think many readers don't like the male lead. Including the fact that the girl he killed seemed to have no clue about what was happening. That's the biggest reason.

Well, I admit that there may be a reason that led up to him having to kill her. Maybe whatever he did or said changed her in some way? And that in turn, caused him to have no choice in killing her. I think it'll be interesting in eventually finding out why he did kill her. In any case, he was the one who directly slit her throat with his sword.

If that wasn't all, he then goes and tries to kill an innocent eye witness, who is only there to save the students. *rolls eyes* He said he heard her footsteps. Then why couldn't he just quickly leave before she saw him or at least cover his face first? But he just stood there.

With that said, the female lead is just as bad. Thinking about how the murderer looks hot just as she sees him? It's fine if she thought about it after leaving the forest. Like: "Now that I think about it, that murderer was extremely beautiful. I've never seen any male like him before!" But...she goes and thinks about his appearance at a murder scene the moment she sees him... *facepalms*

Let's not even talk about her supposedly being 'strong.' Okay, let's say that male lead is way stronger than her and that's why he was able to grab her sword, but as someone who knows what her own weakness is, why didn't she bother trying to fix it? If she has weak wrists, she should have been doing some strength training at least. And yet, happy with her current rank, she discards her training and just laze around. She might have been strong when her Father was around, but now she's just weak and lazy.

In the end, since the reason for him killing that girl isn't made clear, my biggest problem isn't the male lead, but the female lead.
