I have always felt that if someone loses their memories they are not the same person. He would become what he was before this happened, but the current version of him would be killed.
If that's your view I can only say that I've died billions of times because I keep forgetting shit.
Even if you limited it to forgetting major things I'd still have died multiple times.
I'd rather say he would regress than be killed.
If we humans could regress and pick another path in life how happy wouldn't that be.

And so, it has finally come to an end...
It's been known for a while that it got axed, but despite everything, I think that was a pretty clean ending. Bittersweet and a bit messy, but cleaner than some other axed works.
Thank you so much for translating this manga until the end!!

it reeks of AXE, and an awful one like in middle of production of a chapter editor says: "next one will be the last chapter..."

personally I fell that every morning it is a new version of myself which I passed on my memories, dreams and goals. All versions have been working towards the same goal, but some were unable to make much progress towards it.

actually a pretty cool ending to the series but does the WN and LN have him return or does it end like this there too actually?

Always thought it was amusing that they called him an AI when he wasn’t. He was living the cyborg dream.
