personally I fell that every morning it is a new version of myself which I passed on my memories, dreams and goals. All versions have been working towards the same goal, but some were unable to make much progress towards it.

You get the chance to ascend beyond a highly complex program with sentience into a immortal Ai with likely limitless capacity for growth to live in your simulated universe or is it just a galaxy maybe just earth what the hell is wrong with him ask for a new ship body separate from the Capricorn ai and ask to get control of the earth sim so you can visit would be such a more fun way to do that like those isekai where they can swap worlds hell at least ask for admin perks. Still a fun read.
