No, I believe the nugebuchi is highly intelligent and mixed special drugs to make people extremely aggresive "like it did to the insects in the laboratory".

The family and the people in the first chapter are completely different people.

The twist is Nugubechi did the same thing to the brother as it did to the insects at the lab, making them aggressive and killing people, and hiding it's existence, or at least it's connection to the incidents.

But turns out the nigibichi is super intelligent and is humanity's natural enemy. However if it simply attacked humans then it would get wiped out easily so it goes about stuff in a roundabout way, manipulating lifeforms like bugs or other humans to do it's bidding so ppl don't suspect it

All these recent stories have been pretty straight forward, the "issue" is moreso that people are expecting somthing more or deeper. These recent chapters have been building up a mystery with a reveal that's left the audience wanting more.
