Wait, you're right! That's gotta be something, will the distance keep increasing?the signpost shown in the last chapter said 3KM to go, this one says 6...
Well, there was a very large denied in the page before the "loop" happened.Wait, you're right! That's gotta be something, will the distance keep increasing?
The debriefing at the beginning of this chapter seems very literal though, involving real character names. Plus the last time we had some sort of religious theming show up was in the Ship Crewmate arc, which makes me feel like this one is similar to that. The "god" is prominent and overlooking everybody, but why would Yume declare that it starts to smell and then it pans out onto the god?Fascinating format. One that makes me think this is similar to the concert staff, cotton glove dropper, and ship crewmate stories: it describes the girls being hired to help succeed at a highly specific "ritual". Now, all of those stories were heavily metaphorical. I wonder what emerges if we consider the unity behind some of the themes in this story? I.e. the disabilities of the ones being guided, having to follow a path and not straying from it, not looking at strangers...
I thought that it was showing what happened before the 3 km mark since getting hired was shown right before but the page before did mimic part 1 so maybe it's a loop?Wait, you're right! That's gotta be something, will the distance keep increasing?
"Worshippers of God. Deniers of God. Those who have nothing to do with God. Who won't God kill? The answer is no one, God will kill all. The insignificant thoughts of humans have no effect... in the face of a mighty God."I always enjoy the nastiness of horror surrounding gods. It always feels.... more. Alien, somehow. Different then a human mind or human values, however distorted they might be.
damn yeah, thats a pretty solid thesis. Makes me think a bit of PTSD Radio..."Worshippers of God. Deniers of God. Those who have nothing to do with God. Who won't God kill? The answer is no one, God will kill all. The insignificant thoughts of humans have no effect... in the face of a mighty God."
