So let me see if I got this right

There is a curse and the teachers are behind it. Someone (idk who, someone explain) hires jannies to work at the school. That's the promise. If someone breaks the promise (quits) the hirer gets to live, but the jannie dies along with a middle school student ?

Mcs didn't quit so the hirer died? Was the same hirer who hired all the jannies? Or else she dies? How does the hirer start or pass on the role of the hirer? 9

Implies that when there were no janitors, teachers made promises with students, and made sure students broke those promises in order for them to be scapegoats for the curse.

The mechanics aren't too complicated. It's just a chain letter in curse form. I liked what this said about the conditions of school. Also, first female villain!! And it seems like she was a victim caught up in the wider forces of the curse, that sucks.
