seems like if u eat a little its okay? if u eat a lot u will transformSo... this time, what's going on is that the fruits of the farm, when eaten, cause you to be replaced by the fruit itself (or something like that) and you instead regress into a monkey-like being that is doomed to forever stay in the fruit forest and try to prevent people from taking the fruits.
Now that the fruits have become famous, more and more people will eat the fruits, and thus be replaced.
You know, maybe this world really is screwed lol. First it was the briefcase destroying multiple countries, now these fruits may infect the entire world and replace them.
I'm actually surprised that the MCs and Daidai didn't eat the fruit, especially when Yume's danger sense wasn't apparently working. Especially Daidai, she seems like she'd try to eat them randomly but she thankfully didn't.
Though, I think the monkeys invading isn't the problem, since they apparently are compelled to try and protect the fields to prevent the fruit from being taken.Oh also now that I think about it the fields that the fruit grows in are like a separate realm or something right?
Like it's always the full heat of summer there, even while its raining at the farmhouse next to the fields.
Which I guess is a good thing it might mean that the monkeys are stuck in the fruit realm so at the very least they don't have to worry about a potential monkey invasion.

Rather, the potential problem is that the fruits are now famous and probably going to be eaten by many people in Japan or even the world, which will cause the people eating the fruits to become replaced by the fruits.
It's likely that the "monkey" appears inside the field, while the person gets replaced by the fruit wherever they eat it.Another thing that isn't clear is if you only transform if you eat the fruit inside the farm
If you eat it outside, then everyone would know it's a trap cuz monkeys would appear everywhere and ppl would panic
Yeah but the good news at least is that at some point, you'll reach critical mass and there will be just too many cursed people for anyone to take the fruits, even if the monkeys are weak. Now that the fruits have become famous, more and more people will eat the fruits, and thus be replaced.
I think they aren't really compelled, it's just kinda the last thing that keep them going in a 'don't let other people end up like that' way.since they apparently are compelled to try and protect the fields to prevent the fruit from being taken.
There's actually a reason why Daida doesn't eat those fruits. The first chapter in this arc stated that she's on a diet. Also anybody remember what happened to her at the mansion? Makes sense she wouldn't eat anything suspicious while on the job lol.So... this time, what's going on is that the fruits of the farm, when eaten, cause you to be replaced by the fruit itself (or something like that) and you instead regress into a monkey-like being that is doomed to forever stay in the fruit forest and try to prevent people from taking the fruits.

That's mild consequence for you?Pretty mild consequences, but theres that shingeki no kyojin boss monke looming about though.I wonder if theres gonna be a battle royale for these escaped/unleashed oddities later.
Perhaps the fruits are meant to suggest the Biblical "fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil" that Adam and Eve were (supposedly) forbidden to eat in the Garden of Eden.Oh also now that I think about it the fields that the fruit grows in are like a separate realm or something right?
