Seriously, why in the world did we ever think OVERNIGHTING IN THE OTHER SIDE was a good idea? Yes, they made lots of preparation, but as the adage goes "no plan survives contact with the enemy." There are a LOT of problems in the Otherside you can't just solve with bullets and I think this is one of them...

Huh. So she might have had this connection to 'the other side' since she was much younger then we've thought... I wonder how much the cult might have been tied to this kind of thing? Or if her being tied to the cult introduced those visual elements into this other world...

Well. Suppose we'll find out, eh?

It's mentioned that there are multiple confirmed cases of people staying overnight on the Otherside with not necessarily immediately fatal consequences- Abarato, Satsuki herself most likely, and Pale Horse among them, plus the girls themselves once already.
If their exploration is limited to the area within daylight travel distance of a gate, they can't explore as thoroughly as Sorawo wants to.
Plus, while it's definitely dangerous, these two are probably the most well-equipped to handle those dangers thanks to their dual gifts and the fact that they're always together. The buddy system is important, people!

(That said, this whole arc of "attacking Sorawo based on her childhood" is the kind of risk factor they probably ought to put some thought into. Not that Sorawo would care to do so, but what can you do.)

Going to the Otherside in the first place is already a bad idea, they just don't care. Sure, the Otherside is lethal, and even more so at night time, but if they cared about the danger they wouldn't have started exploring to begin with.

Figuring out how to stay overnight is important for two reasons. First, they can explore farther out if they can stop, camp, then keep going. Second, they don't always go to the Otherside by choice. If they get dumped in the middle of nowhere and can't get back the same day, they're gonna be forced to stay the night, so it's important to practice and prepare strategies to survive in advance.

They can't not take risks in the Otherside, but they can take steps to reduce the risk. Not knowing how to survive overnight could get them killed - if they died during a test run they would have just died at some later point anyway, but if they can figure out how to do it safely, that's both insurance for the future and something fun to do together.

sorawo sees the otherside as an escape from the suffocating nature of the world around her so she recklessly pursues finding more ways to make the otherside a place she can stay in safely. but it will never truly be that unless she can find a way to stay there safely at night, something which requires her to go riskily at night to figure out how to do it.

Ayyy, they changed this from the novel. I think
Sorawo visiting her childhood friend happened later in volume 5 of the novel while they were separated, with Toriko transported into the in-between world, with Toriko guiding her through mirror. The Love Hotel one is at the end of the 4th volume. In the novel, Toriko just smashed the red person and Sorawo commented woman do look beautiful with an axe. Also they kiss

Pretty sure you're mixing things up. Just try to remember why the last part from your spoiler happened

This is how it happens in the novel, you're mixing it up with later events.
