Useless tags

Like, why is there 'survival' tag in shounens. It's especially irritating when the entire result feed contains nothing what i'm looking for. Like, is it even reasonable to put such a tag in where the "survival" lasts one or two chapters at best ? Or how about those korean shoujos containing 'war' or 'action' tag where it's hardly even prominent...

I know this seems like a rant, but the useless tags need to be cut down. I don't know if this is just scans looking for more potential audience, but i'll hate your guts if that's really the case.

If you consider that a specific tag is superfluous in a specific entry, you could use the "Report" button, select the Information to correct option in the "Report Reason" and explain that the entry shouldn't use "X" tag, for the moderators to see it and decide.

The tags are mean to be meaningful of the title as a whole and not something that only happens once in a blue moon, reasons why this happens are: to increase/decrease visibility by some users with the privilege, like editors or scanlators (this usually leads to edit rights revoked), not being knowledgeable about the title (usually when the entry is created) or at one point it was something meaningful but the manga changed and nobody has bothered to update the tags (like at the time it only has two chapters)...

Thanks, i'll be sure to put that into practice when i come across the titles that fit the bill. Though it'd be a herculean effort to filter through this current sea of polluted tags
