Well cows lick things a lot (they like / need a lot of salt) so the licking is normal. As for how this small lad picked up a fully grown dairy cow with out even showing much if any physical strain is beyond me. If others saw, he would be immediately entered into some kind of strength contest I imagine.

I think MC isn't actually delusional, and ushiharu is actually a magical lifeform similar to a cow, which produced the illusion that she is a cow to everyone but MC is immune to it, or she likes MC and decided to show him her true form.

MC might have been able to develop immunity to the illusion partially because he spent the longest time with ushiharu when he was a kid.

There has to be SOMETHING weird going on. I don’t think the kid is hallucinating, either. We saw that when milking her, they went to the breasts despite those being in the wrong location for the udder. When they tied her up for the shot, they tied her up with her hands bound BEHIND her back. Were she a cow, that would have broken her forelimbs.
