Well, baking it  probably broke down a lot of the compounds and whatnot, but yeah, I hope no one involved actually swallowed any of it.

It's worth noting that for many compounds like pigments, breaking them down chemically is where the horror begins.
Famously, we call it "cyanide" because it was isolated from the first synthetic pigment - prussian blue.
