@belkrax but the scandal would affect his company and drain him into bankruptcy which in turn will make an opening for one of the 2 yakuza's to get everything else by either blackmailing him further or offering a cover up, the father can't really throw his son under the bus since he was aware of what the brat was doing.

And somewhere in that mess Kaji has to get out of this with something.

What exactly did kaji come here for anyways? was it just for the sake of justice? Or once he got the evidence would he blackmail the MPD with it showing that they were doing a coverup and extort money from them there?

@the9813 There's that, but he also wanted to show Baku Madarame that he could stand on his own and not have his mentor clean up his messes. This is partly why the fat bastard, despite how incredibly inept and heinous he is, is relatable to Kaji on so many parallels - they came from different starting points, but they both live(d) a self-entitled hedonistic lifestyle where they push responsibilities onto others.
