Is this the first time we have seen child Baku ? Did we ever have any explanation as to why he wants to become the leader so badly ? I assumed it was because of his friendship with Hal but their flashback showed that Baku was already planning to become Leader by that point, so why is he so keen to sacrifice everything to achieve his goal ? It cannot be his gambling addiction, because that could easily be satiated by remaining a normal Kakerou member right ?
