Kadokura is back, but not completely the same. Loving his new look; it's definitely meant to be a mix between Kadokura before and Kadokura after.

The chapters were hyping up Yakou as not entirely being out of the match, but I'm glad the author took this route instead of Kadokura being sneak attacked on.
It looks to me that there's more to this play than Yakou simply being able to gain all handkerchiefs in one battle. Yakou wanted to make it clear that he was the one who most desired to referee the Surpass the Leader challenge, so beating out Kadokura after undergoing so many personal trials will be proof enough for everyone.

...Man, Kyara's corpse just keeps getting more disgusting.
It's almost fantastic how the author created a superhuman character brimming with strength and vitality, and then drew several shots of his corpse naturally decomposing throughout the story.

I feel like it's already a given that Yakou is going to win, but I still want to see how this is going to turn out

Yakou my man you might want to get that hand checked out, it's literally rotting away. I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure not amputating a gangrenous hand like that could lead to the infection spreading to your body and could end up killing you. Though it probably doesn't mean much in such a World of Badass setting.

The Yakou's brothers are the perfect butlers... So as usual, it will a one shot with some ears ripping and flying 😁

It`s obvious Yakou is going to win, but I wished my boy Kadokura won.
Leaving it to the new generation and all.

Yakou-san's quite the gambler, isn't he~.

The ingenuity of it means Yakou will likely win, but I'd be okay with Kadokura presiding at this point, to be honest. He seems to have collected himself over the course of this match.

I like Kadokura but if Yakou wins, I hope he'll damage Kado's other eye so he'll turn to a 200% pirate lol

I noted it earlier but this really is Yakou-san's career path story, and i'm loving it

Also, has someone noticed the trend that somehow 1 person is always clueless on Usogoi's team, and we usually get the games from their perspective, trying to piece the puzzle together. Meanwhile, the rest of them, knowingly or trustingly are all under cahoots. Yet, since it rotates around, and every side character brings their own fresh and mostly pivotal part to the story, this repetitiveness doesn't seem that bad of a story telling method.

In a sense you could virtually feel around 20 different characters being the protagonists of their own story within the Usogoiverse.

oh fuck yeah the pompadour is back. it looks like a mix of his two hairstyles. love Kadokura, glad he seems to be regaining a semblance of his former mindset and self

clever gamble from Yakou here too, basically betting that Kadokura will win out and he will be able to beat him alone. if any of the other refs had been able to get him, Yakou would lose. considering how many people Kadokura had to beat, thats not a guarantee. crazy how Baku's been able to influence all these characters to gamble

i kinda want kadokura to win just cause he's probably the strongest referee of the newer generation and this whole arc be it the leaders or the referees is about the older ones being surpassed. I get yakou will probably win tho cause him and Usogui are tied to the hip.
