That's a whole lotta dumbf*cks in that freaking village. It was your fault you lie. Doesn't anyone actually thinks her ability is cool? You found out about your cheating husband, shouldn't you thank her?
And those who say "how can we know whether you're lying or not?" to Kanoko. Really?

People seem to really hate liars here. But there are white lies...if you see a baby that you don't find cute at all, are you going to tell the parents you think that their baby is ugly? I think it's fine for me to be telling people, "I'm fine" when I'm having shitty day, because I don't feel like sharing. It's a lie but it doesn't hurt anyone.

I don't have a problem with her outing the cheating father but her pointing out every lie would definitely be destructive.

A good chapter showing how some lies are told to keep people's pride like the one about financial aid and how some just lie because they're scum like that cheating guy.
That grandma blaming Kanoko for her own cheating son is just straight up stupid and shows how blind people can be.

There was an actual interview a few days ago about a son who beat up his mother, but the mother in the interview insisted her son was a good boy, it was the daughter in law who was evil (¬_¬ ). Her son had beaten her multiple times but she was still blind to the truth and who would argue with an old woman so desperate.

But still Kanoko trying to cut off her own ears was horrifying.

A pathetic protagonist is pretty much a given for shoujo, but what I dislike even more is how illogical she is. She never hurt anyone with her power, and, stunningly, she can't come to realize that.

Regarding the main girl's character developmentally, the story also doesn't make much sense. Like, she would have learned extremely fast that yelling out "YOU'RE LYING XD!" at everything was socially unacceptable. But it shows her doing it incessantly in the village, even though we can assume the negative consequences were apparent from a young age. Her getting into a negative feedback loop in her development is a breach in logic. It's the same way kids learn not to pick their noses in front of people. It might make sense if the main girl had, say, autism, but she doesn't.
