I agree it's all bait for engagement, but at the same time it feels like two sides of the author fighting each other, one wants the mom to have a great relationship with their husband and other wants her to have lewd moments with the MC, but of course unless we are in some crazy relationship square case this is not happening so it just end up in these weird NTR bait scenarios.
