The easiest person to manipulate is yourself. Nigo knows what he is doing trying to hook up the MC with the girl.

I think thats likely a bad idea. The copy's regen is better (or at least more usable) than the original, as the original is still missing his finger (dr just said he was recovering quicker than expected) compared to the copy growing an entire body. The copy is also ruthless, etc. While he should theoretically be able to not get overwhelmed by him, I do not feel he could defeat him. If he started fighting while the cops where there to assist, sure, but one on one.. nope.

It's easier to cuck a stranger than to cuck oneself. Nigo acts confidently but based on what he has done, I think his emotions are still within a range of humans, meaning the confidence could be fake to hide something.
Nigo is not a traditional doppelganger, he is literally the MC other complex emotions manifest. He can't cuck MC as MC never thinks about stealing someone's lover or desire to do it. He steals the girl's lingerie and throws it at MC because he knows MC lusts after the girl, Nigo never uses the lingerie to satisfy himself.
Is he bad or good? can't say as MC is the only one who can answer that question.

He could have subtly told the cops where Nigo was hiding, then most likely his clone gets arrested, the cops chalk it up to the guy being a long lost twin brother since the MC has an unknown past. Then his evil clone stays in jail for a while and the MC is completely exonerated of all suspicion and gets to live his life.

I was thinking this as well. The only reason I can imagine Ichigo's hiding Nigo is because the "he grew out of my severed pinky" story wouldn't be believed, but he could just not tell that part. To begin with, Ichigo never even saw Nigo grow out of his pinky in the first place. Who's to say that's actually what happened?
