I have a feeling that the clone is only loyal temporarily, like it's biding for time before it betrays Nigo. Like Nigo, the clones probably have a mind of their own, and considering how self-centered and crazed Nigo is, also an ambitions of their own. Though if that were to be the case, it would also make this manga really complicated, so I doubt it. ¯\(ツ)/¯

Exactly. But it was explicitly mentioned that each clone needs 2 days to fully regenerate and it's only been 3 days since Nigo went on a rampage, so even if he cut up one clone to 1000 pieces, they won't regenerate for at least another day.
