I don't think Renri is at fault for anything. I think Renri is just tired of getting abandoned.
I gotta halfway blame Renri at this. I am transmale but to hear someone say that you aren't a woman in their eyes would make me slightly happy. Sad that they knew about my biological sex but happy they don't see me as a "she". Renri never told Azuru what gender he is. I understand they are scared. However, friendship should have trust. Both are bad a communication but should at least try.

Halway to blame? Please tell me what you think Azuru did wrong. The weirdest part is Renri wasn't mad when he said that he thinks of her as a guy. She got mad when he said "Renri is no woman", which is what actually Renri identify as, she says later "Man, woman... don't stuff me into your stupid boxes.

For now I can't see Renri as anything more than self-centered asshole who easily gets angered and then verbally abuses other person, and expects others to approve her/him/it. (Didn't even specify pronouns yet.)

Btw, I'm outside of LGBT circle, so I don't know every nuance of it.

For me, Azuru did wrong in how he SUCKS at communication. Which I said both of them suck at communication. That's a fault both of them did wrong. Reasons are different but still the same. Please don't think I am defending Renri when I think they did wrong as well. I know they think they were going to get abandon but come on, Azuru is a friend who openly spoke about how its not true which Renri quickly denied instead of trust.

Again, not defending either. Simply saying both need work on their communication skills.

I agree that Renri should've appreciated Azuru's defense more. However I think him still being angry in spite of that proves that he isn't angry about being misgendered. He's angry that people abandon him no matter what they consider him as. He doesn't want to be placed in any boxes if that's going to make people want to leave him. That's why I think Renri didn't do anything wrong. It's understandable for someone to be upset that their friend doesn't want to talk to them anymore.
As for miscommunication, yeah, both of them are bad that. But I think the conversation wouldn't have escalated that far if Ozamu didn't interrupt them.

Didn't do anything wrong is a pretty..... bold statement if you ask me. The characters have faults. The song shows it. I agree on not wanting to be labeled in genders. Except that's no excuse when he should have listened to Azuru more. The two show to be good friends. No matter how many times someone is hurt, if its a friend then one should listen to them.
