I don't think we ever saw what happened after the bad endings where she died, it could be that actual murder is a step too far to anyone that isn't her brothers, they were trying to make her leave, not actually full blown kill her in their minds.

And now she comes nearly dead and if the brother told things right, they know it wasn't her fault and that she didn't throw a tantrum, hearing she was bleeding out and almost died could have also led some of them to think about themselves and their past actions, basically the prince slicing her neck made some people realize how awful they were or even they aren't going to attack a girl that almost died.

@DestinyFate I saw nothing wrong with the father, he could have been more caring but they aren't at that point yet. The lack of affection is from things before her reincarnation. Honor is probably the most important thing to nobles. He let her beg on her knees for mercy last time but this time he told her that Eckarts should never kneel. This means that she's gaining more respect and being seen as a family member.

What the actual f**k. All Penelope wanted was love and a family. YOU all f**king set her up into the role of a villainess. She didn't know what to do. Her adoptive family didn't love her and even the servants bullied her. So she became angry at everything.

What really pisses me off is that, she had to almost f**king DIE before she was accepted. She had to beg, she had to kneel just so she could survive. I'm so angry at these people. The maid even had the gall to say SHE WAS WORRIED. Worried?! You tormented her ever since you came to her service. Then the father shouted at her?! For kneeling?! When she thought that's what she needed to do just to have her voice heard. Did you ever SHOW her otherwise?! NO.

Abuse isn't just about hurting a person in any way, shape or form. It is also an abuse if they see what's happening and chose to neglect it. Hey Duke, did you ever ask why Penelope was throwing tantrums? It's because she was hurt.

I hate this so much.

I'm not glad that these people changed. I'm angry because they STILL don't see what's wrong with them. That THEY were the source of her pain.

To me, it just sounds like they're patronising her.

I hope they get what they deserve.
