@Mira995 The duke seems a lot more rational than his son, so I think even if he sees the book, he'll just rationalize away its existence. And it doesn't help that Ginger changed the plot of the whole novel. Unless someone was directly involved with the events that changed it, like Ginger and Kiki who tried to steal Lera's necklace, and Lera who knows that they tried to steal her necklace, then they have no reason to believe that the future changed.
