Since this is a Taiwanese Manhwa I'm sure it's in TWD (Taiwan New Dollars) and not USD (US Dollars). So when converted to US$, $1K (TWD) is ~$32 (USD).

Very confusing because confucius even if he came back to the modern world iirc prolly would come back in like mainland china

I didn't realize this was a Hong Kong manhua until the TL note mentioned that the donos were in TWD and I looked at the flag on the main page. I thought I was reading manga!

why would hk use twd? did the taiwan magically take over the entirety of mainland china
