I see a lot of people complaining about how this isn’t realistic because the ML hasn’t shown any good qualities to make the FL fall for him, yet she’s still in love with him. My thing is, isn’t that kind of the point of these kinds of romance manga? They’re directed towards guys like this. It’s like a fantasy where the girl loves the guy unconditionally. It’s like it’s trying to draw these kinds of guys in to read it by giving them some kind of fantastical hope that this could actually happen. If you don’t like that kind of thing, then drop the manga once you realize that’s the kind of manga it is.

I think I've realized why this series bothers me. This series is basically Popular girl x Loser/Plain guy. With this genre of romance, usually the Loser/Plain guy has some qualities that made the Popular girl fall for him. Thus far, I don't really see why the FL is in love with the ML. ML is bad at sports and studies, and worst of all, it feels like he takes the FL for granted. It's like she has to do all the work in maintaining and developing their relationship. She literally has to hide her true self because he's incapable of talking with girls normally. I hope he's the ugly duckling type character, because he's really needs some points in his favor.

Yes but if she keeps hiding herself then he'll never see her for who she actually is. Imagine falling in love with a person but turns out whoops that person is faking their entire personality.

Way worse buddy.
What she should do.. Is slowly ease him in to her true personality and help him overcome his issues.

But I guess dorking around for god knows how many chapters is what we're gonna get.

I love slowburns. But if they actually have decent release schedules >_<
