There's something about this manga's structure that I just find... odd.

Like, yes, I know there have been hiatuses, but after almost three years, I feel like we're nowhere near where we should be in the story, there isn't nearly enough development for everyone involved, and much less should we be dealing with this kind of drama at this point.

I don't know, it could just be me.
It feels a lot longer, but this is still only chapter twenty-one.

Aaah, delicious drama, I must eat it!

Meddling ikemen out of nowhere? Check!
Wakaba's breasts, ballooning to Brobdingnagian volume? Check!

Be right back I need to put, "grows a third tit" in my bingo card.

So why is this random nobody inserting himself now? And who is he to decide that she is not being her true self while with MC? And why is he deciding that she is "shouldering everything herself" and that the childhood friend he doesn't even know is somehow at "fault"?

What a weird chapter. Dude is delusional and overstepping and she just won't even acknowledge it. Enjoyable.
Isn't her faking being a tomboy for her childhood friend's sake the whole premise of the manga?

the only thing that will save the author from the downfall of this manga is by offing this camping bff dude, "If I was him I wouldn't do that to you" ahh

Thanks for the chapter.
Look i know hes doing it out of genuine concern for her and i even agree that its ultimately better if she doesnt have to keep secrets from her friends.
But you dont just decide to out that on your own and especially not this fast.
I know that he hasnt done so just yet and theres a chance that hes just doing the stupid "i want to find out if youre worthy of her" bullshit instead of revealing everything, but either way hes inserting himself into a relationship he has no buisness of interfering with.
Why do you think his concern is genuine?

yes. all of it was wrong.
the persona she keeps up at school and drops around people she trusts isn't the real her, that's the opposite of correct
I'm lucky(?) this is still only 21 chapters. Chapter 2 makes it clear that Wakaba is going out of her way to change for Daiki. The way she dresses at school is her normal, that's how she spends MOST of her day. She is putting on a persona FOR Daiki because HE is the one who has a problem with girly girls. The only thing Wakaba hides from her friends is who Daiki literally is because they know she has a childhood friend and can guess she likes him because she did a bad job at hiding that part.

Que idiota ele é por achar que pode interferir. Ela gosta do Daiki, mas ele não tem nada a ver com isso. Mas os seios da Wakaba cresceram demais; não dá para culpá-la se os caras estão dando em cima dela. O Daiki precisa amadurecer. Este capítulo foi incrível! 👍🏻😁

Well...
Daiki doesn't even know about this double life of hers, so nobody can blame him for that. And based on what we know, he would not be happy with her deciding to do all that effort for him.
And also, both Wakabas are the real Wakaba, she decided to split herself into two personalities that are not exactly herself (so no, the Wakaba talking to the dude is not the real her either)
The only thing that I can see being beneficial from all that interaction is Daiki discovering about Wakaba's decision to act like that for him, and he decides to talk with her about it

Chat this is a bit. A joke. I doubt pretty boy prince here will become a love rival just like those guys at the beach weren't pick up artist. I don't even think he's gonna spill the beans, I think he's gonna try to be wring bro. I'll eat crow if I'm wrong but this series is pretty consistent.

Now, is meeting Daiki and getting involved rude, yes. Do I think it will be funny, YES. But is any of what he said to Wakaba wrong, No. This story proves him to be right. Everyone would be fine if she dropped the act.
He is right in that part (she doesn't need to split her personality to please the others), but he is wrong in thinking the school Wakaba is the "real" one, and he is also wrong in thinking this is some kind of Daiki's request. Daiki doesn't even know about it, and in the past few chapters, they show it's not something he would even want. Daiki just wants that Wakaba can be herself.

We clearly agree on everything but the semantics in which pretty boy said what he said. That italicized "MY" is putting in a lot of work. That phrasing could be about Daik, but it could also be about Wakaba, we'll have to wait and see.

I'm not using his words to analyses his knowledge on the situation. We can agree he has none. I'm using his words to evaluate the text as a reader, who knows what everyone is thinking. And in doing that I find it funny that this boy who knows nothing, hit the theme dead on; his intentions aside.

As a reader, he's right in that the "real" Wakaba is the one with her friends, because the change she does for Daiki is mostly superficial. She only really changes the way that she dressess. Her personality is the same. There's no great divide between real and fake but there is an action being taken that doesn't need to be taken.

Yeah, I would say that is way harder for her to hide her hobbies and her "tomboy-like" traits

Christ, kids. If you can't handle drama this unbelievably tepid, don't ever try talking to the opposite sex. Pretty sure you will  actually die.

thanks for the chapter, excited to see some plot finally kick in.

P.S.: a key takeaway here is that she immediately and only imagines being the prince's childhood friend, not lover. And fwiw she doesn't change much, but she changes more for her school friends because she has to actively change her mannerisms and speaking patterns. In the end I bet the endgoal is her realizing she's always her, and being more feminine around Daiki (as he becomes comfortable) and masculine around her other group.

It's hard to admit, but Wakaba's attitude of changing his tomboy nature isn't cool; soon he'll end up suffering from a personality disorder and won't know who's more, Taiki or her.
