Yeah well, not every manga is a flaming chernobyl dumpster fire like Kanokari or kills the series off once the confession drops. The good ones tend to close the gap fast and still manage to keep it interesting - Bokuyaba and Useless Prefect being good examples. Hopefully this one evolves to be on the “good” aisle.

Honestly this is a pretty decent way to execute the "gotta wait until confession" trope. Getting more time to impress and learn more about your crush is a good thing too
Yeah even tho I think it's pretty dumb since he literally did already confess there, they both know how the other feels, their relationship progressing further isn't contingent on some arbitrary nonsensical goal, and it's a set up for high octane wholesomeness. It is my least favorite romance manga trope, but I don't hate its execution this time
