You know what really scares me there? That the boy is still playing on a PSP...

The more rounded shape and the charging port being located in the center instead of being offset to the left makes it closer to a Vita than a PSP. The general layout of the visible buttons also fits a Vita, with the minor detail of it missing a stick...

I think it's foreshadowing: one of the future chapters will involve Takashi confronting the ghost that stole his Vita's left analog stick. The ghost will turn out to be a Nintendo 64 enthusiast who always hated the idea of analog camera controls.
