What I've found that works best for translating shiritori is to put both the japanese word and the direct translation in the bubbles. No need to come up with a whole new sequence in English.

Especially since the main point was sorta lost here.

Like Tsudzumi's responses up to when the spirit took part of Shinonome's face were originally:

1. Gobyuu
2. Inaka
3. Manbiki
4. Ikegaki
5. Inugaki-tsuki

So basically she was unwittingly making things harder for Shinonome because she kept choosing words that end in "ki."
