Feels like Su Luxia puts too much blame on the characters being two-dimensional assholes rather than the authors of these stories who write them to be two-dimensional assholes.

There's something that I've read about domestic abuse survivors and why it was hard to leave. It's because the person they fell in love with and in the honeymoon phase is different than the person that they revealed themselves to be once the survivor has fully committed. But the survivor stays because they still believe the person they fell in love with is the real one and if they could just do something in their power to bring that person back, everything would be alright—not knowing that version of the abuser has been fake all along.

Yeah, SLX lives by fulfilling vengeance in these trashy light novels but the authors themselves are usually beyond reach, except for that one arc where the author entered their own work. Otherwise, real humans are untouchable.

What would you even punish them for? Writing a story where bad stuff happens? Which the author of this story is always since he created those fictional novels to begin with?

We even know that a lot of the bad stuff we see isn't even stuff in the actual novels but the worlds filling in the blanks when they become real.
