I would love to hear some Korean manhwa recommendations from this amazing community!
Specifically with historical background (eg duke/duchess/noble family). My personal preference is ones where the MC is intelligent and the ML is not fierce/ doesn’t mistreat the MC (or even, no romance at all). Do not particularly favor cliche romance plots but as long as the story is interesting it’s okay.

OP why would you want manhwa, there's some good mangas and one manhua that are historical, but you're not gonna find them in manhwa. The medium doesn't work that well with it.
It works best as comic relief, or some other mindless activity

and for ur response to @op, i'd just like to point out that i personally can't get used to manga's format. i also don't have the best ability to discern what the drawings actually are, like in action or combat type colored comics. it's super difficult for me to tell what's happening in a black and white comic, even if it's not action, so i tend to avoid mangas ahaha

A nicely executed feminist (& lesbian) take on a popular Korean folk tale, which is, except for a couple surnatural elements, very grounded in historical Korea (political organisation, customs, religions, dress - with colour on all pages)
Although you might find the male lead (or the character closest to one, given that the MC and main secondary are both women) very NOT likeable and closer to a main antagonist !
