For context, iirc referring to a man-female combo as yin-yang is to imply that they are having sex. Some series have the joke about "yin-yang fusion", or "yin-yang cultivation", where a horny person tries to get into another cultivator's pants.

So many people on the orthodox side are just plain assholes, that it gets to the point that I just wish the author would've tried harder. It'd such a tired trope...
