just to clarify things up, your admin privileges fixed the poll due to an alleged unfair voting method, but by the time you realized that it was due to a simple macro, clearly already used in the last rounds, you had already declared the winner.12,000 voters, yep they definitely had a bot network or something? I'm honoured someone went to all that effort for my little poll. I'd like to congratulate them on a fight well fought, but note that all's fair in love and war extends to the user with admin privileges in the event the fight's not looking fun anymore.
EDIT: I WAS WRONG! They weren't using a bot network, the 12,000 users was as a result of the fix I put in place. My sincerest apologies to the very dedicated user who I guess must have had a clickbot? A little macro or something?
I think the fairest competition is one that's fun for everyone. While it's certainly great to show your passion for your faves, if it makes it harder for other voters to play along then it's not exactly in the spirit of the contest. Kurohime was in the lead for most of the week, with a consistent strong showing before the last minute rush and I certainly wouldn't want to invalidate the voters who fought hard for her in the face of overwhelming opposition.just to clarify things up, your admin privileges fixed the poll due to an alleged unfair voting method, but by the time you realized that it was due to a simple macro, clearly already used in the last rounds, you had already declared the winner.
so you apologized but did not recognize Yomotsuka's victory?
I thought that any voting method accessible to everyone was allowed, but a fix by the admin is a bit...
this is a weak motivation, you are just rewarding those who used macros during the week instead of those who did it at the last moment, the fact that Kurohime fans were not active in the decisive hours is certainly not a merit.I think the fairest competition is one that's fun for everyone. Since you ask for the opinion of other voters, I will give mine: I don't careit would just be nice to hear what other voters think too
this is incorrect.you can see what that looks like on the chart. It's a long, flat line.
lol i cast like 2000+ votes for kurohime by hand, don't be a sore loserI thought asterist had already clarified this, but since the 12k votes were sent via macro, they were not done by the last minute but during the final 10 hours of the poll. that's how macros work.
this is incorrect.
believe me or not, it took about 3 seconds per vote, so totally counterable.
but it was not.
Kurohime fans didn't do anything for 10 hours straight and she lost, but in the end the pool was unfairly fixed by asterist, forcing 12k +1 vote, this time really at "the last minute".
given that excluding automated votes with this pool system makes no sense, if we decide to do that, what about the 10k+ votes cast in the first 6 days of the poll? are we really pretending that no other macros or clickbots were used?
I hope to have clarified the situation, feel free to ask for more, I know what happened and asterist should have all the data.
Any proof of that? Also, do you want a badge for not being efficient?lol i cast like 2000+ votes for kurohime by hand, don't be a sore loser
so your advice to all voters is: feel free to use macros, but don't make it obvious or your votes will be nullified.if you create such a lead that nobody else wants to participate, then it's not fun anymore.
