I'm not sure if we're reading the same manga but I don't think she turned into someone "wiser" she is doing all of this out of sheer stupidity and the dumb desire of being praised as always, she is just applying the stuff she has learned through the manga which is a somewhat expected character development IMO. (which is indeed getting wiser but surely not that big of deal considering how much has happened)

This story has been going on for five years now... I guess that's a dose of perspective into why the tone and characters have changed so drastically, the author is functionally a different person by now.

Even if they haven't been firing out new chapters each week, working on the same project for that long is inevitably going to lead to some tonal drift.

It's not silly, I had hoped to be finished with the replacement a long time ago but sadly the year got the better of me ^^;;

I might as well share now that the plan was, in order to combat the use of automated bots while preserving the ability of players to vote multiple times for their faves, to build a Sorry But I'm Not Into Yuri quiz where the amount of "votes" you contributed was tied to your score in the quiz. If you only got one question correct you would get 1 vote, if you got ten out of ten questions right you would get 100 votes, that kind of thing. It would mean automated attacks would be a waste of time compared to just knowing the answers.

After searching around a little bit, I found that I couldn't get an existing quiz program to behave the way I wanted it to so I decided to build my own website to host the quiz and the tournament all in the same place. I got pretty far along, but life got in the way and I'm sorry to say I haven't had time to work on it in a few months.

The plan was that the front page would show the current competitors and their scores, you click on their portrait to start the quiz and contribute points to them:

The actual quiz would be a series of multiple choice questions like this:

As you can see, graphic design isn't exactly my forte, when I resume work on it I'd like to rebuild it from the ground up to look a little better and run a little smoother in the back end. Once I'm done I'll get the website hosted and announce the start of a new tournament so all characters can have a fair go under the new model.

I liked early toudou more tbh i feel like her character was washed down to be alot mkre simple i preferred when her flaws were mkre apparent and actually had an impact but the one improvement i like alot was letting the love potion stuff take a backseat

Volume 9 is promising 20 pages of never before seen story featuring Mota-Sensei and Mukai, it's dropping on the 27th of December by which time I will already be hard at work on translating chapter 50 (hopefully dropping December 23)
