There's a severe drop-off in voters because not many people regularly check the series discussion thread. I suggest making polls for the entire round whenever there's a new chapter. It would take about the same amount of time as doing a match per week and have a more even amount of voters.

I did consider that option, but the primary motivation was to keep people interested between the wait, and now that it looks like Mochi Au Lait won't be releasing a new chapter in March it wouldn't be terribly fun to be stuck in round 1 till late April

not a terribly fun option but how about just have the entire round 1 in the first post in the first place? Obviously some matches are already decided but how about doing the entire round 1 in the next post?

It's much easier to check-in and vote for everyone, and people won't have to check every pages to find the next match.

A higher vote turnout is definitely desirable, but at this point I'd say we're already a little too far in for such a major change of course. I'd like to try another character poll in the future, the lessons learned from this time will definitely inform that. Really I think the issue is I have no way to ping everyone between chapters unless they choose to use the forum feature to watch this thread in particular. If I had a discord like some other scanlators that would be something, or if all my readers were on Tumblr, but as it is this is the best place I could think to host the tournament.

Kurohime however does have a good chance in this tournament, she's the underdog everyone wants to root for.
