I dont get how everyone hate Yuuka lol. Imo, she's the only one that truly stands by MC's side, genuinely. I think Yuuka understands MC very well (both her personality and condition) that she doesnt dwell on stuffs like walking on eggshell around MC. Yuuka is always honest.
MC also said that she's glad Yuuka is frank and doesnt walk on eggshell around her.

No matter how Yuuka behaves or feel, she stays by MC, support and care for her. Without Yuuka, our MC will feel even more alone in this world. I'm personally glad Yuuka's there for MC all these years.

She may be a pervert, but without her MC would be even more depressed and lonely.
No spoilers, but you would definitely not be saying this if you'd read the LN.

Man kinda sad knowing that many dislike Yuuka
But Yuuka is the only one who have been accompany and understand Aya for a long time. Heck you should have know it guys that Aya will definetly become a very gloomy isolated person without Yuuka

Her parents disown her, she's alone without anyone care for her and so there is Yuuka willing to be beside her to care for her

I know many of u will say that Yuuka is too clingy and I see some of you calls her creepy towards Aya but I can see her genuine love towards Aya. She even willing to ditch her friends school reunion and listen to Aya to not to go outside

...do you understand that "i fell in love with you when you were a ten year old girl as a woman eight years older than you" while consistently being sexually forward and insisting that the two of you will eventually date despite repeated objections and clear discomfort isn't being "too clingy" it's "being a sex pest".

Aya was saying that when she left for school she locked her door, but Yuuka was inside her room when she came back from school.

So, Yuuka broke into Aya's room. Which is 100% believable behavior from her.
Is it not the front door...?

And it is tech yuuka's place so she would be able to unlock most rooms/have an extra key for emergencies (tho according to some comments in another thread apparently having a lock on an asian/JP beddoor is pretty uncommon?)

Yeah it's more outta place in a story like this versus some other 'rom com' stuff with a 'forward onee-san' type that'll shove her boobs in your face (tho even in stories like that it's a bit inappropriate but ppl let it slide b/c 'fanservice'/they're both girls. but yeah if it was a guy doing it police would prolly get involved, depending on the author's thoughts on rape culture/if it'd actually get reported/etc, since some of those stories involving assault end up being 'revenge fantasies' as opposed to 'the law is properly handling things'

So is her acting annoying some quirk the mangaka decided to add for shits and giggles? (i don't mind being spoiled lol), b/c even if she is 'good'/well meaning in the end there's prolly less abrasive ways to portray it and to be able to be more nuanced than on teh other end of the spectrum like 'i totally believe you' b/c to anyone who might be aware/hear of their situation, they'd prolly see it as 'feeding into her delusion' or so

or is she purposefully acting this way b/c somehow an 'emotional reaction' from the MC would actually affect her powers/get her to move forward

Tho be interesting if she was able to experiment with it like "if you can act normal around me for a month, i'll go on a date with you the first of next month" or so to get like '3 months of peace', maybe XD;

it's less in the manga, but, in the light novel, it makes it continuously extremely clear that she feels really bad about it then she, like, tries to justify it to herself while continuing to feel bad and it just is clearly a violation of her consent.

Aya lives in what is basically a converted storage container in her parents' backyard, lol. The front door is also the entrance to her room.

that's an interesting choice to do so versus just moving into her cousin's place (did her parents move away? i kinda skimmed it/dunno what happen but assuming they never divorced i can imagine them taking off and giving some distance if not always constantly being at work to not deal with MC)

If someone feels bad about something, but still does the same thing anyways, feels like it'd be a red flag in most cases (not counting stuff like ocd and like addiction but that's a whole 'nother conversation)

Yuuka only ever acts in her own interest. Nothing she does is for Aya's sake. And even if we ignore the age gap for a second, the way she "loves" Aya is deeply unhealthy and gross.

Yuuka saw a ten year old girl with a dead, apathetic look in her eyes, like she would simply accept all misfortune without blaming anyone but herself, and Yuuka thought that was extremely attractive. She thought "I want this traumatized little girl to be mine". She's a predator. She also takes advantage of Aya's abilities regularly while still acting like she only half believes in them, just to keep Aya's self esteem down so she'll stay "hers".

Yuuka is a witch, like Michiru will be in the future, though less powerful. She doesn't remember them like Aya does, but she knows that the days repeat, and if Aya tells her about another version of the day, she can influence which day is chosen, or stitch together parts of multiple days to create new ones. That's why even though Aya woke up in her own room the day after Yuuka's accident, Yuuka was still alive. She died every version of that day except for the last one where Aya warned her, but she stitched the "Yuuka survives" part of that day onto another one where Aya never came over.
This is the main reason she actually keeps Aya around. It's just to protect herself. She acts disinterested whenever Aya tells her about the events of alternate "days", but she's always paying close attention to them. Purely on the lookout for bad events to avoid.

and the way she constantly manipulates Aya? God.
Not long from now she's going to have a shouting match with Aya where she gaslights her about her experiencing the days repeating,
even though, as mentioned, she already knows for a fact that Aya is telling the truth. She does this only to lash out at Aya because she's jealous of how close she's been getting to Michiru. It's not even genuine jealousy either, she just wants Aya to remain isolated and self-hating so she can manipulate her easier, and she's noticed Michiru changing that. Yuuka just wants to hurt Aya for going against her, and she does. Despite always rejecting her shameless advances, Aya cares for Yuuka a lot. She's been Aya's only companion and confidant for her entire life, until meeting Michiru. Yuuka's the only person who's ever believed her about her experiences. So when she lies that she never actually believed her, and was just humouring her like an over-imaginative child, Aya is emotionally devastated. And Yuuka did that to her intentionally.

So, She's been Aya's only friend and family since she was ten, she's made Aya completely financially and emotionally dependant on her, she's groomed Aya into being the self-hating apathetic "witch" she is now (purely because it turns her on), and she's just constantly emotionally abusive to Aya, manipulating her, lying to hurt her, lashing out at her for going against her, being kind only when Aya does what she wants, Etc.

Oh and yes, she did steal Aya's house key and get a copy made for herself. Aya's consent is not a thing she cares about in the least.

In conclusion, Yuuka is a dangerous, abusive, horrible person and Aya would be much better off staying far away from her.

If Yuuka can influence the day that's picked and wants to isolate Aya, is she part of the reason that the good days never get picked?

i'm surprised her parents even let her near then, unless she just acted 'normal' around them otherwise

interesting that she also has abilities/a witch? maybe it's somehow a genetic thing too

there's a fairly clear distinction made in the light novel, especially by volume 2, between someone who has abilities and a witch. indeed, the term for witch that ayaka uses for herself and the one used for michiru and yūka are different. michiru and yūka are mages, magic users, wielders of magic. ayaka is an evil witch who boils children in a cauldron in the woods.

basically, ayaka and others have an ability thrust upon them as a sort of curse they can be freed from or utilize, but which they only vaguely have control over. michiru and yūka get power. not a specific power, but the ability to control magic, to cast spells, to defy reality.

it's unclear where ayaka's power comes from, tho there are some hints that there's something strange going on with it in volume 2.
